Four sessions on the forms every worker signs and almost nobody understands.
Your student fills in a real-format W-4 and finds out what each section actually does to the amount withheld. Reads a W-2 box by box, including what to do when one of them is wrong. Files a complete return from the forms.
Then a second job appears, and the return reverses. Working out why is the point of the unit — a single job makes withholding look simple and breaks the moment there are two.
Everything is real-format and fictional. Nobody should ever write a real Social Security number on a practice form.
