Description

Three sessions on where money decisions come from — and the opening unit of the Money Smarts line.

A lot of how your student handles money was decided before they earned a dollar. People call these money scripts: beliefs absorbed growing up, usually without anyone saying them out loud. The unit starts by making them visible, because you cannot decide whether to keep a belief you cannot see.

Then the mechanics: needs versus wants when wants dress up as needs, goals specific enough to survive a Friday night, and how to choose an account whose fees do not quietly outrun its interest.

This is the unit where your own habits come up. It works better if you let them.
