Description

Three sessions closing the course, on what a number does to the thing it counts.

Theo posts something and watches the like count instead of doing anything else. A like converts social approval — diffuse, qualitative, previously invisible — into a specific visible number.

And measuring something changes how people behave toward it. A visible approval count does not just report on approval; it reshapes what people do to get it.

The final session asks your student to put all four mechanisms of the course together and explain how they reinforce each other. If they can do that in their own words, they have understood it.
