Three sessions on the part of the job search nobody teaches: the paperwork.
Your student fills out a complete two-page employment application — a real one, not a summary — and learns what it is actually screening for. Four fields produce nearly all the damage: availability, reason for leaving, may-we-contact, and references. Each gets a weak answer and a strong one side by side.
Then everything around the application: a cover letter built from a real posting, how to choose and actually ask a reference, the follow-up message almost nobody sends, and a tracker for running more than one application at a time.
The Social Security field is deliberately blocked, and that constraint became a lesson about when an employer legitimately needs that number — which is one of the clearest tests for a fake job posting.
