Description

A pitch is only a pitch if somebody is listening who can say no. This kit supplies the listeners' side.

Six investor role cards, each giving its holder a character and the questions that character asks — the skeptic, the numbers person, the one who loves everything. A fifteen-question bank. A 25-point judging rubric. Feedback slips and five award categories.

**You need an audience.** One parent works; three adults works considerably better, because a panel that disagrees asks better questions. Grandparents are excellent at this, and a co-op is ideal.

The rubric scores the pitch, not the idea — a modest idea pitched clearly beats a brilliant one pitched badly, which is the right lesson.

Run it after Startup Finance, so there are real numbers behind the slides.
