A co-op simulation of the one court your students are most likely to use themselves.
Three cases: a landlord who kept a security deposit, a client who never paid for a logo, and a tree branch through a windshield. Students play plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, clerks and judges — they prepare their own evidence, argue it, and hand down judgments.
**This needs a group.** Six people per case, eighteen to run all three at once. If you teach one or two students at home, the Court Systems unit covers the same legal ground for a single learner.
Every witness has one truthful fact that helps their side and one that hurts it, so no case has a predetermined winner.
